The Cincinnati Hispanic Festival is a fund-raising activity that began in 1994. Although, over the years, it has expanded tremendously. Our festival started at St. Aloysius Church, Vine Street, which we shared with the Vietnamese community. When we moved to San Carlos Borromeo it became an extraordinary event, coordinated and supported by many volunteers. The popularity of the festival grew and began to receive some notoriety outside of the church community. It received the Cincinnati Enquirer’s “Good Taste”; Award in 2000. In 2002, the festival began crowning the Festival Queen. In 2005, the Hispanic festival moved to the Hamilton County Fair Grounds. In 2013, the Copa Su Casa soccer tournament joined the party.
